Found in 2008 - Sahara

A piece weighing 179.3g was purchased in Erfoud, Morocco in June 2008. According to the seller, the meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert the same year. So far there is no specific information about the exact location of the find.
It was cut into slices & partslices + 3 endcuts. 1 endcut and 1 slice were sent to Dr Barrat for the classification and type specimen and I keep 1 endcut for my own collection.

The remaining slices & partslices and 1 endcut are offered to collectors & institutions.

This meteorite was first thought to be a Howardite but finally classified as a Eucrite-Pmict, with pyroxene (pigeonite) cristals which amount is very unusual ...

Cette météorite qui avait été considérée comme une Howardite dans un premier temps s'est avérée être en fait une Eucrite-Pmicte contenant des cristaux de pyroxène (pigeonite) en abondance très inhabituelle...
